Our EIMS mail server has been very, very stable for years. At 11:17 PM CDT Oct 30, 2020 the mail server silently crashed. This was noticed this morning, and brought back up at 9:28 AM CDT on Oct 31st.

Email protocols are built to handle temporary outages, so I do not expect any incoming mail to have been lost, though its delivery was delayed.
