Hudson Vintage Neighborhood Alliance
Minutes of the Meeting 1/26/2000
Meeting convened at 7:10 p.m. at Bethel Lutheran
Church. Lee Wyland opened
the meeting. Lee
requested that the October Alliance meeting minutes be
reviewed and approved.
Old Business:
Lee Wyland
reported that the database of contractors is completed. To date, only one person has submitted names
of contractors.
The database of addresses in "old Town" is
completed. The list includes 1st and
2nd Street addresses.
Lee has compiled Alliance member e-mail addresses. Lee will forward the e-mail addresses to the
group.
Karen Neset will contact Willis in March. Willis stated he would attend one of the
Alliance meetings to give a presentation on Old Hudson.
New Business:
Currently, there are no zoning issues before the City
Council that might affect the Alliance neighborhood. The membership did discuss the issue of burning leaves that will
be presented to the City Council.
The jail-park project was tabled until the April
meeting.
Lee and Laurie Wyland will construct the HVNA Web page.
Cynthia Wells-O'Malley will provide a draft copy of a
"Hidden Hudson" article for the members to review at the April
Alliance meeting. The membership
discussed the possibility of having eight to ten articles written before
contacting the newspaper.
Lee Wyland will contact the Chamber of Commerce to
explore the possibility to the Alliance gaining membership. Lee will have a copy of the Chambers mission
statement for the group to review at the April meeting.
Laurie Wyland will contact Mary Clark to set a meeting
to discuss the possibility to a block party to celebrate Historic Preservation
Week (May 13th - 21st).
Karen Neset will contact the Historical Society to
discuss how the Alliance and the Historical Society might work together.
